Auditions

In order to show the talent of Chilean and Latin American singers to experts from the world opera circle, in addition to contributing to the generation of international networks in the industry, we organize and develop auditions for theaters, festivals, competitions and coaches from different parts of the world. world. We thus facilitate the access of lyrical singers to these instances, bringing artists together with representatives of the most important theaters in the world in the same place.

As part of this program, we carried out the Latin American phase of the prestigious international Paris Opera Competition and also the selection for the semifinal of the Competizione dell`Opera competition, held in Sochi (Russia) in 2019.

Masterclass

In order to strengthen the professional training of artists, we hold masterclasses with great international leaders of music and lyrical singing, who share with the students their expertise in various techniques, styles and repertoires.

Some of the guests on this program have been the Austrian pianist, Helmut Deutsch, the lyrical singer, Javier Arrey, the Argentine choral director, Virginia Bono, the luthiers Stefan Sielaff and Pilar Campos, and the American artistic consultant, David Blackburn.

Scholarships

Through this program, Fundación Ibáñez Atkinson provides financial contributions to outstandingly talented Chilean musicians, with the aim of financing their studies and other opportunities for artistic and professional development and improvement. Lyrical singers, instrumentalists, and choir and orchestra conductors have received support for their tuition, fees or maintenance in undergraduate and graduate studies both in Chile and abroad.

Likewise, as part of the commitment to the new generations of artists that we support, FIA Scholars receive permanent advice and support from the foundation.

As part of the scholarship program, we also support scholarship recipients from the Friends of the Municipal Corporation and we awarded the Sylvia Soublette scholarship destined to cover part of the master’s degree in singing at the Hochschule für Musik, Franz Liszt of Weimar (Germany), for outstanding students of the Alberto Hurtado University.
