New Alliance with Vienna Volksoper

Foundation representatives traveled to Vienna to sign a collaboration agreement to send Chilean talent to this prestigious opera house. In fact, two artists from the first class of the Ibañez Atkinson Young Artist Program have already been hired there: bass-baritone Pablo Santa Cruz, who is in its ensemble of soloists; and mezzo-soprano Camila Aguilera, a member of its opera studio.
The meeting was attended by Andrés Rodríguez Spoerer, FIA’s Director of Music; David Blackburn, FIA’s international advisor; representatives of the Vienna Volksoper, including Malte Puls, Head of Artistic Operations Office; Maurice Lenhard, Head of Opera Studio; and Christoph Ladstätter, Commercial Manager; as well as the singers mentioned above, thus formally kicking off a virtuous relationship that we hope will continue to generate greater opportunities for Chilean opera singers.
