Laffont Competition hosts South American Region auditions thanks to partnership with FIA
For the first time in its 72-year history, the prestigious New York Met Opera competition held an audition in the region, where 12 opera singers from seven countries performed before a jury composed of Melissa Wegner (Laffont Competition), Gerald Martin Moore (Yale Opera) and Chía Patiño (University of Michigan). Congratulations to sopranos Camila Romero and Valeria Delmé! They advanced to the semifinals at the iconic Lincoln Center.
