The article addresses the scope of the work we are currently doing in partnership with TNC and other organizations through our Planeta Ahora program. The project’s main purposes are to learn how these vital ecosystems function in the Maipo River basin—through soil studies, water monitoring and carbon measurement—and to restore them to preserve one of central Chile’s important water reservoirs for future generations.
