What better school for learning about the environment than nature itself? Inspired by this concept, the initiative was created three years ago by the Ibáñez Atkinson Foundation and Cedel UC. It invites students in grades six through eight to investigate their nearby ecosystems, detect challenges in them and propose solutions for a more sustainable life.

This year, more than 1,500 students submitted videos of their findings. They represent 74 schools in the regions of Arica y Parinacota, Coquimbo, Metropolitan, Biobío, La Araucanía and Magallanes and Chilean Antarctica. Congratulations to all the participants and especially to the students from Puerto Natales, Alemán de Temuco and Cambridge School Salamanca that won the first three places, respectively.
